Ma Qun 马群 was born in Beijing, China. His father was a soldier and his mother

Chinese literature.

1968
|
He began to study calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting in the workshop

|
of Master Li Kuchan.
|
|
|
1969
|
Master Pan Tianshou introduced him to the Art of the seal.
|
|
He also practiced martia Arts.
|
|
|
1981
|
He won the Gold Prize at the collective exhibition of university students in Beijing .
|
|
|
1985
|
He left for the United States, stayed in Florida, then in New York, Boston and Hawai.
|
|
|
1989
|
He moved to settle in France. He studied French at the Sorbonne, visited museums,
|
|
and became interested in the Western Painting.
