1960

Ma Qun was born in Beijing, China.  His father was a soldier and his mother taught

 

Chinese literature.

   

1968

He began studying calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting in the Master Li Kuchan's

 

workshop.

 

 

1969

Master Pan Tianshou introduced him to the Art of the seal.

 

He also practiced martial.

 

 

1981

He won the Gold Prize at the collective exhibition of university students in Beijing.

 

 

1985

He left for the United States, stayed in Florida, then in New York, Boston and Hawai.

 

 

1989

He moved to settle in France. He studied French at the Sorbonne, visited museums,

 

and started interesting to the Western Painting.
