Mao Lizi 毛栗子 also called Mao Lizhi, was born in Shanxi province, China,

under the name Zhang Zhunli.
|

1953
|
The family moved to Beijing. |

He learnt painting at the age of eleven. |

|
|
1979
|
He was member of Xingxin group : Stars,* first vanguard artistic movement in China.
|

|
|
1980
|
He participated in the first exhibition of the group, then in the second in Beijing ( 1981 )
|
| |
and to the ten years of the Stars ( 1989 ) in Hong Kong, andTaipei.
|
| |
|
|
1987
|
He obtained his Master's degree in Fine Art from the C.A.F.A. ( oil painting department ).
|
| |
|
|
1990
|
He was invited to the National hight School of Art in Paris, France.
|
| |
|
|
1998
|
He participated in the exhibition 5000 years of Chinese Art at the Guggenheim Museum
|
| |
in New York United States.
|
| |
|
| |
He lives and works in Beijing China. |
