1963

Fang Lijun was born on December 4 in Handan, Hebei Province, China.

 

 

1970

He studied at the School Ralroad Hainan.

 

 

1980

He entered for three years at the Hebei Light Industry College (ceramic section)

 

 

1984

He worked in an advertising agency, while preparing for the entrance exam

 

of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.

 

 

1985

He joined the C.A.F.A. for five years of study.

 

 

1989

He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Beijing. ( Engraving section ).

 

He presented his painting at the China- Avant-garde exhibition,

 

at the National Gallery of Beijing.

   

1990

He was a precursor of  the cynical realism movement 

   
 

He participated in the exhibition at the Venice Biennale in1993 and 1999.

   
 

He lives and works in Beijing.
