Fang Lijun 方力钧 was born on December 4 in Handan, Hebei Province, China.

1980

He entered for three years at the Hebei Light Industry College. ( ceramic department ).

1984

He worked in an advertising agency, while preparing for the entrance exam

of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.

1985

He joined the C.A.F.A. for five years of study.

1989

He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Beijing. ( Engraving department ).

He presented his painting at the China-Avant-garde exhibition, at the National Gallery.

1990

He was a precursor of the cynical realism movement.

He participated in the exhibition at the Venice Biennial in1993 and 1999.

He lives and works in Beijing China.
