Ding Yi 丁乙 was born on January 1st, in Shanghai, China.

He entered the Shanghai Arts & Crafts Institute, to study decoration design.

He graduated from the Shanghai Arts & Crafts Institute.
|

|
|

He began to paint his cross series, in varoius colours which made him famous.

He graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Shanghai University.

He set up a studio in Shanghai, Moganshan Road.
