Chien-Yi Wu was born in Taichung, Taiwan.

She obtained her B.A. ( department of Arts ) from Taipei National University of the Arts.

2010

She was selected for the Kaoshiung Awards 2010-Mixed Media.

She was selected for the Taipei Arts Awards 2011

2012

She won the first prize in The Arising Artist Award of New Taipei City.

She lives in Taichung and currently studying in Tainan National University of the Arts,

Institute of Plastics Arts.

I am inspired by what is happening in daily life. I attempt to overturn the meaning manifested in them by modifying

the contents and simulating the effects in their very forms. It is my intention to reflect upon what we are familiar with

from the opposite perspective, creating the gap of perception between the reality and the reality-alike.
