Zhou Long 周龙 Composer, was born on July 8, in a family of artists,

He learned to play the piano, at a very young age.

The Cultural Revolution forced him to work on a farm.

He studied composition, music theory, conducting, and traditional Chinese music.

He entered the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and studied composition

under Wu Zuqiang (1927-2022)

1983-1985
|
Upon graduation, he was appointed composer-in-residence at the China National

Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra.

| |
Thanks to a scholarship, he went to study in the United States at Columbia University.

He continued his studies under the direction of Chou Wen-chung (1923-2919),

then Mario Davidovsky.(1934 2019).
