Lü Siqing  吕思清 violonist, was born on November 26,ln Qingdao, Shandong Province

 

China.

   
     -  Education

 

At the age of four, he began studying the violin.

 

At eight, he entered the Central Conservatory of Music, with Professor Zhenshan Wang.

 

At 11, he was selected by Yehudi Menuhin to study at his elite music school in southeast

 

England..

1984

Back in China, he continued his higher education at the Central Conservatory

 

of Music in Beijing.

1987

He won First Prize in the Paganini Competition.

1989

He entered the Juliard School in New York and studied with Dorothy Delay and Hyo Kang. :

Lu Siqing violonist - with Li-Wei Qin - cellistet  and Sun Yingdi - pianist, founded

 

the China Trio, or Major Trio, in order to present the aesthetics of music.

 

In addition to chamber music concerts, the trio collaborated with :

 

- The NCPA Orchestra, for Beethoven's Triple Concerto in C major

 

(for violin, cello, and piano)

 

 - Composer and conductor Tan Dun to perform his Martial Arts tetralogy :

                    Cello Concerto                                         Tiger and His Wife

 

                    Piano Concerto                                        Banquet

 

                    and the Triple Concerto                          Resurrection

   

 

They performed at the Sydney Opera House and the National Centre for the Performing

He was appointed President of the Yehudi Menuhin School in Qingdao, a replica of the
