1962

Zhuang Weimin  庄惟敏 was born in October, in Shanghai  China.

   
 

Educator

 

He studied at the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University..

1985

Graduated with a Bachelor's degree, he continued his studies for a Master's degree.

1992

He obtained his PhD in engineering and started to teach.

   

2012

He won the Architectural Education Award of the Architectural Society of China

2015

He was appointed Dean of the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University and 

 

Director of Thesis.

 

 
 

Architect,  he was at the origin of many projects in China, among which :

 

- the reconstruction of the National Gallery.

 

- the swimming and diving gymnasium for the University Games.

 

- Judo and martial arts gymnasium.

 

- The Shooting Hall for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

 

Co-designer of the National Exhibition Center Convention.

   

2008

He was appointed Master of Chinese Design by the Minister of Housing

 

and Urban Development.

2012

He was one of the 100 Contemporary Architects of China selected by

 

the Architectural Society of China.

2017

He won the First Prize for the Progress of Science and Technology

2019

He was the winner of the Liang Sicheng Architecture Prize.
