He began painting during the cultural Revolution.

He joined the Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts in Chongqing. |

He graduated with a Bachelor ( Chinese painting ) |

He moved to Shenzhen and became interested in abstract ink painting. |

He played an important role in the development of ink painting.

He organised the National Symposium of 85 New Wave Movement
