Qian Zhou  钱舟 was born in Hangzhou  China.

She studied violin at the Shanghai Conservatory and went to the United States

 

to complete her studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, under the direction of:

 

Berl Senofsky (1926-2002 ) and her two mentors : Piero Weiss (1928-2011 )  -  Isaac

 

Stern.(1920-2001 );

   

1987

Her victory at the Marguerite Long Jacques Thibaud Competition in Paris,

 

launched her musical career.

 

She gave concerts and recitals all over the world.
