1994

Mélodie Zhao was born on September 7, in switzerland, into a family

 

of musicians. Her father was a violinist, her grandfather a trumpeter,

 

and conductor - her grandmother was a ballerina and choreographer.

She learned piano from the age of 2.

 

She entered the Beijing Central Conservatory to study with Jiaqan Chen.

   

2004

She studied at the Geneva Conservatory under Mayumi Balet-Kameda.

2008

She earned a Bachelor's degree.

2010

She graduated with a Master's degree in solism..

   
 

She moved to Germany to continue her studies with Pascal Devoyon, at the Berlin

  University of the Arts.
 

She earned a second Master

   
 

She studied composition with Jean-Claude Schlaepfer and Nicolas Bacri.
