Lingling Yu 俞玲玲 was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province China.

At the age of eight, she developed a passion for music ( violin - erhu - pipa ) and

gave concerts.
|
|
|
At 13, she decided to devote herself to the pipa, or Chinese lute.
|
| |
She traveled throughout China alongside the great master Dehai Liu (1937-2020)
|
| |
She studied for three years at the Beijing Conservatory of Music, then entered
|
| |
the Conservatory of China..
|
| |
At 18, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and began teaching
|
|
|
at Tsinghua University.
|
|
1998
|
She moved to Switzerland to further her musical studies at the Geneva University
|
| |
of Music and began explore the links between Eastern and Western music.
