Huang Tu-Shui 黄土水 (1895-1930 ) was born in Taipei Taiwan.
|

|
|
When his father died, the family moved to Dadaocheng.
|
|
|
|
He studied at the Elementary School and then at the Mandarin School
|
|
in Taipei and began teaching.
|
|
|
1915
|
His remarkable talent allowed him to study woodcarving at the Tokyo
|
|
School of Fine Arts.
|
|
|
1920
|
Graduated from theTokyo School of Fine Arts ( Woodcarving Department )
|
|
he was selected to participate in the Imperial Art Exhibition of Japan.
|
|
|
|
His works were three other times in this prestigious exhibition.
|
|
|
1930
|
He died in Japan, on December 26, as a result of peritonitis.
