Hsieh Yin-Chun 謝英俊 was born in Taichung County Taiwan.
|
|

He studied at Tamkang University, New Taipei City Taiwan.

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree ( Architecture Department )
|

1984
|
After working in construction, as an engineer, he founded his own architectural
|
|
firm Hsieh Yin-Chun Architects, in Hsinchu.

After the 2 nd earthquake, he moved with his team into the disaster zone

Sun Moon Lake, where the Thao aboriginal community was severely affected.

- He participated in the preservation of Hakka culture with the construction
|
|
of the Meinong Hakka Cultural Relics Museum - the Hsinchu County Cultural Center -

Thanks to metal or wooden structures, the use of local materials,

He joined architects Roan Ching-yueh - Marco Casagrande and sometimes Shu Wang,

to form the Weak ! collective, whose independent research center is in Taipei.

His participation in the Venice Biennale allowed him to present Bug Dom, a bamboo.
|
|
building inspired by the dwellings made by insects, built on a vacant lot in a ruined
|
|
construction site, between Shenzhen City Hall and an illegal labor camp.
