Guo Gan 果敢 was born on November 15, in Shenyang, Liaoning Province China.
|

|
His father Guo Jun Ming 果俊明 ( 1940-2010 ), a famous erhu player, introduced him
|
|
|
at a very young age to the two-stringed Chinese instrument, the oldest in China.
|
|
|
|

1984
|
He accompanied his father on a tour of around a hundred performances.
|
|
|
|
|
1991
|
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in erhu music from the Shenyang Conservatory.
|
|
|
|
|
1992
|
He won the First Prize in Traditional Music at the Liaoning Provincial Competition.
|
|
|
|
|
1995
|
He was a professor of erhu and percussion at the Liaoning Conservatory of Music
|

and Dance.

He went to France to pursue his studies at the National School of Music in Fresnes.
