Chun-Chieh Yen 嚴俊傑 pianist was born on September 29, in Taipei Taiwan.

In Taiwan, he began studying piano with Chen Mei-Fu and then with Rolf-Peter Willer.

After his diploma, the latter advised him, to go and study in Germany.

He attended the Hanover University of Music and Arts, studying under Vladimir Krainev.

He earned his Koncertexamen diploma.

Thanks to a scholarship, he went to study in the United States at the Colburg

Conservatory of Music, in Los Angeles, under John Perry .
