Chen Pi-Hsien 陈必先 was born on November 15.
|

She started taking piano lessons at the age of four.
|
|
|

1959
|
She went to Germany to study at the University of Music in Cologne.
|

1960

She was admitted to the class of Hans-Otto Schmidt-Neuhaus.
|
| |
|
|
1970
|
After graduating as a concert pianist, she continued her studies.
|
| |
|
| |
She performs with the most important orchestras and participates in music
|
| |
festivals in : Germany - China - France - Japan - United Kingdom - Switzerland.
|
| |
|
| |
She is more and more interested in contemporary music by collaborating with
|
| |
among others, the composers : John Cage and Pierre Boulez
|
| |
|
|
1999
|
She toured China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
|
| |
|
|
2004
|
After having been Professor of piano at the University of Music in Cologne,

| |
she teaches at the Academy of Music in Freiburg.
