Yuhan Su  蘇郁涵   pinyin  Su Yuhan

Yuhan Su  蘇郁涵  was born in Miaoli County  Taiwan.

She studied percussion at theTaipei National University of the Arts.

2008

She moved to the United States, and for three years studied jazz vibraphone,

at Berklee College of Music.

2011

She graduated.

She then moved to New York.

2013

She recorded her first album in which she played the vibraphone,

malletkat and sang two pieces : Flying alone .

She is represented by New York label Inner Circle Music, and supported

by Alternate mode, Inc for the mallekat.

Her first two albums Flying alone ( 2013 ) and  A Room of One's Own  ( 2016 )

won numerous awards :   

Best Jazz Album - Best Artist of the Year at the 4th Golden Indie Music Awards

Best Composer at the 24th Golden Melody Awards.

2016

New York City inspired her with her third album : City animals.

( six minutes of music within Manhattan )

2020

She was in residence at the Cité internationale des Arts, Paris  France.

She presened her new compositions, between contemporary jazz

and avant-garde music :  Like the Best Fiction, It’s Entirely Enveloping.

She lives in Brooklyn,  New York United States.
