He attended the School of The Art Institute of Chicago where he obtained his B.F.A. (1996 )

then the Bard College Annandale - on- Hudson in New York and obtained a Master ( 2002 ) |

He began his career as an artist with videos and animations.

His animated images approached very quickly the war, the politics, the religion and

made him known.

He left Art for experimental publishing by creating Badlands Unlimited

He published with other artists, about fifty books -on paper, digital, or artists' books,

He started to exhibit again with digital sculptural installations : Arguments - Nonprojections.

He won Hugo Boss award.. |

The MacArthur Foundation awarded him the famous MacArthur Fellowship.
