Ge Yulu 葛宇路 was born on November 28, in Wuhan, in Hubei Province, China.

|
He studied at the Hubei Fine Arts Academy.
|
|
2013
|
After graduating, he left to continue his studies in Beijing.
|
| |
|
|
|
For his artistic project at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, he decided to play on
|
| |
the double meaning of his name Lu 路 road and to integrate it into the public space.
|
| |
He installed, without authorization, a road sign with his name on a street in Beijing,
|
| |
which did not have one. ( 400 M long street, located in Chaoyang district ).
|
| |
Its panel was integrated in official documents and in the cartography of Apple, Google
|
| |
Map and AutoNavi applications.
|
| |
Streetlights were even listed under the name Ge Yu Road.
|
| |
|
|
2017
|
He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts ( Experimental Art department )
|
| |
but on July 13th, the Ge Yu Road sign was dismantled by the authorities, alerted by
|
| |
a video posted by a friend and went viral.
|
| |
|
| |
He lives and works in Beijing China. |
