1915

Zhu Minggang  朱鸣冈  ( 1915-2013 ) was born in Fengyang, Anhui Province, East of China.

He studied traditional painting in Suzhou ( 1934 ) and then turned to engraving ( 1937 ).

First woodcuts.

1953

He entered the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, at the heaad of the engraving section.

He was appointed Administrator of the National Association of Engravers.

2013

He died on July 4th in Xiamen, at the age of 98 years.
