Zhu Danian 祝大年 ( 1916-1995 ) was born in Fengqiao, Zhejiang Province China. |

He learned painting under Lin Fengmian and Wu Dayu at the Hangzhou Art Institute, |
|
|
then sculptureat the Beijing National Art Institute. |
|
|
1933/1937 |
He went to study the art of ceramics in Japan, in Tokyo Fine Arts school. |
|
|
|
|
|
Back to China, he taught at the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts |
|
|
( ceramics department ) |
|
|
|
|
1979 |
He created for the Beijing International Airport, the mural ceramics : The Song of the Forest. |
|
1985 |
He created Guilin Landscape and Magnolia Blossom. |
|
1987 |
He held a solo exhibition in Hong Kong. |

1994 |

He died in Beijing, at the age of 79 years. |
