Yang Yu-Yu 杨英风 ( 1926-1997 ) was born on April 12 in Yilan, Taiwan.

He went to study architecture in Japan, at the Tokyo Academy of Arts,

then Fine Arts, at Fu Jen Catholic University in Beijing, China.
|
| |
|

1956
|
He participated in the Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

| 1963 / 1966 |
He studied sculpture in Italy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
|
| |
|
| 1968 / 1976 |
Assisted by Zhu Ming (1938 -), he began his monumental sculptures,
|
| |
in stainless steel, which will make him famous.
|

|
1970

He created Phoenix Comedy for the China Pavilion, at the International

exhibition in Osaka, Japan.

He created the ROC laser Art Association.
