Wu Yiqiang 吴以强 was born in Ai Lao Shan, (哀牢山 Ailao Mountain) in Yunnan Province, |

in southwest China.. |

He graduated from the Yunnan Institute of the Arts. ( Fine Arts Department ) |
|
|
Dismissed from the Yunnan Institute of the Arts, for having gone on hunger strike, |
|
in protest at the events in Tian'anmen Square, he worked for the State, became |
|
|
editor of Fine Arts magazines, then professor at the School of Fine Arts |
|
|
1998 |
He began a creative work with only one medium: ( newspapers, magazines, leaflets ) |
|
which he tears, falsifies and to which he gives another sense by his management |
|
|
of the images. |
|
|
2005 |
He resumed his artistic activities. |
|
2007 |
He travelled to Tibet, then to Beijing, where he settled. |
|
He lives and works in Kunming and Beijing China. |
