Tim Yip 叶锦添 was born on December 22 in Hong Kong.
|

1986

Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, he started to work:

‐ in the field of cinema with his first film: A Better Tomorrow by director John Woo.
|
|
‐ then, in the design of sets and costumes for the cinema and the theater.
|
|
|
2001
|
He won the Oscar for best artistic direction with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
|
|
The British Academy Film Award ( B.A.F.T.A. ) devoted him best costume designer
|
|
for Tiger and Dragon, from the director Lang Lee.
|
|
|
|
His works take part in many exhibitions of photography or videos in France:
|
|
at the Pompidou Center, in Paris, at the International Festival of Arles.
