1975

Li Jianhong  李剑鸿 was born in Fenghua, in Zhejiang Province, in China.

He studied Fine Arts and Chinese painting and he turned to musik : the guitar

and rock music, then sound art.

He was the founder of several groups and the director of the independent label 2pi records. 

2003

He curated 2pi Festival, a festival of avant-garde sound music, and held it annually

in Hangzhou, until 2007.

2007

He explored the relationship between environment and performance by making music

under the name of improvisation environnement.

2008

He married Wei Wei who got involved in music the following year, recording

Three CD : Empty Mountain  Twelve Moods  Here Is It (release 2010 )

He established a new label to promote the development of China's free improvisational

music : C.F.I. ( Chine Free improvisation )
