Duan Yingmei  段英梅 was born on October 27 in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province, China..

1989

She graduated from the Northeast Petroleum University, Daqing.

1991

She entered the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing to study OIl Painting

and Mural Painting.

She joined the Academy of Art and Design.

1994

Independent artist in the Beijing East Village neighborhood, she participated

to the performance of  Zhang Huan : To Add One Meter to an Anonymous Mountain

1995

11.05  four rows of nude artists, determined by weight, lay down on top of each

other, in the form of a pyramid, to add a meter to an anonymous mountain.

1998

She went to study in Germany at the University of Art Braunschweig ( HBK )

under the leadership of Marina Abramovic, and she dedicated herself to Performance.

She participated in many Festivals, National and International exhibitions.

She lives and works in Braunschweig, Germany.
