After graduating, he taught at the Hebei Institute of Fine Arts, then at the Research Institute

on Ethnic Arts and Cultures of China, while pursuing his career as an artist.

His subjects : nature, landscapes, rural scenes, as well as characters and divinities.

He participated in the exhibition 5000 Years of Chinese Art at the Guggenheim Museum

in New York United States.

He was a visiting professor at the College of Art in Toronto, Canada.

He travelled to Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces and brought back various drawings.
