Chung-Chuan Cheng 郑琼娟 ( 1931-2024 ) was born in Hsinchu Taiwan.
|
|
|
Her father was one of the first doctors to practice Western medicine.
|
|
|
|
|
1952
|
She studied drawing and painting at the Normal College of Taiwan.
|
|
|
( now the National Normal University )
|
|
|
|
|
1956
|
She obtained a Bachelor ( Fine Arts department ) and began teaching.
|
|
|
|
|
1957
|
She joined the Fifth Moon group ( May group ) and participated in the first exhibition
|
| |
of the group, at the Zhongzheng auditorium inTaipei. |
| |
The same year, she married and the couple went to live in Japan.
|
| |
|
|
|
After a long break for the benefit of her family life, she started painting again and
|
| |
she participated in collective exhibitions and organized a dozen of solo exhibitions,
|
| |
in Japan and inTaiwan.
|

Large retrospective, for the 80th anniversary of his birth, at the Memorial Hall
