Chhour Kaloon 蔡家麟 was born in Phnom Penh, in Cambodgia. His rich family |
|
|
of traders, in the textile industry, is native from the Guangzhou Province, in China. |
|
1975 |
At the arrival of the Red Kmers, he fled to the Thailand. |
|
1989 |
After studying at the Academy of Art in Hong Kong, he moved to France, and obtained |
|
|
a diploma of accountant at the CNAM and took painting classes, while working. |
|
|
|
| Protean artist, his works include engavings, ceramics, inks, watercolors and | |
| oil paintings. | |
|
2003 |
He settled in Nice and devoted himself entirely to painting. |
| His style evolved towards abstraction but keeps his palette of strong colours | |
|
and the forcefulness of his brush. |
|
| French naturalized, he lives and works in Nice where he has his studio. | |
