Chando Ao was born in Chongqing, in South-West China, 1990.

Education: 

Tufts University  United States + School of Museum of Fine Arts 2016.

He was the recipient of The Chan Sculpture Award, 2015.

Ao’s practice focuses on making machinery works that distribute sensory experience

to its confronters. In experiencing this unique sensation that the artist has created and

directed, the audience simultaneously obtains a new connection to the existing world.

He lives and works in New York  United States and Shanghai  China.
