1971

Zhang Chunhong  张春红 was born into a family of Art teachers in Shenyang,

Liaoning Province, China. Her two sisters are also painters.

1986

Through a competition, she was admitted to the high school affiliated to the C.A.F.A..

In Beijing.

She continued her studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts..

1994

She received a Bachelor'degree in Chinese Ink Painting.

1996

She moved to the United States to continue her education at California State University. .

2002

She graduated with a Master's degree in Art from CSU Sacramento.

2004

She graduated with a Master's degree in Fine Arts from University of California Davis.

Her work, focused on the hair, explores her own identity.

Professor at Kansas University, she lives and works in Lawrence, United States.
