Chen Zizhuang ( 1913-1976 ) was born in Yongshuan, in Sichuan Province,

 

China.

   
  He taught at Chengdu Normal University.
   
  Under the influence of  Huang Binhong ( 1865-1955 ) and Qi Baishi ( 1864-1957 )
  he changed his style and painted landscapes, with a simple and suggestive
  stroke.
   
 

During the Cultural Revolution, he was reduced to poverty, unable to exercise

 

any artistic function.
