Chen Chi Kwan 陈其宽 was born in Beijing, in China.
|

1944
|
Graduated in Architecture, from the National Central University, Chongqing
|
|
he moved to the United States, to continue his studies.
|
|
|
1949
|
He graduated with a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois.
|
|
|
1952
|
First exhibition in Museum of Art : M.I.T. Cambridge. |
|
|
1954
|
The architect I.M. Pei called him to help him design the campus of Tunghai University
|
|
and the Luce Chapel memorial, with its unique shape.
|
|
|
1958
|
He travelled in Europe. |
|
|
1960
|
Back in Taiwan, he appointed the Dean of Architecture department, Tunghai University.
|
|
|
1980
|
He was appointed the dean of engineering department, Tunghai University.
|
|
|
1995
|
He obtained the 1st Taiwan Outstanding Architect Award.
|
|
|
|
Painter, he gave a totally new appearance to the Chinese traditional painting.
|
|
Numerous exhibitions in United States, Europe and East Asia.
|
|
|
2004

He moved to the United States.
|

2007

He passed away on
the 5th of June at the age of 87 in San Francisco..

|
|
