Yang Qian 杨千 was born in Chengdu China.

He joined the Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts in Chongqing for four years of study.

He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Arts and taught at the Sichuan Institute.

| |
|
|
1985
|
He continued his studies at the University of Florida, United States.
|
| |
|
|
1988
|
He received a Master's degree ( M.F.A. )
|
| |
|
| |
Known for his innovative painting techniques, he held numerous exhibitions.

1999

Back in China, he taught as a visiting professor at Sichuan University, in Chengdu.

He likes to play with his viewer’s sense of perception, by mixing in his works reality

and illusion

In his Bathroom series, he created mystery by showing the subjects through a mirror
