Su Tianci 苏天赐 ( 1922 -2006 ) was born in Guangdong Province, in China.

He entered the Chongqing National Art School.

Graduated from the department of Art of the Central NatIonal University, he began |

teaching in Guangzhou. |

|
1948
|
He joined the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou.
|
|
|
He became Lin Fengmian's assistant who guided him to find his painting style.
|
|
|
|
|
1950
|
He taught Art at Shandong University, Qingdao, and the Nanjing Institute of Arts.
|
|
|
|
|
1983
|
He won the First Prize at the Jiangsu Province Portrait Exhibition.

1987
|
He went to Paris and held an exhibition.

|
|
1995/1997
|
He went to Japan and then to the United States, gave lectures and exhibited his works.

2000

He participated in the exhibition Chinese oil painting of 20th Century.
