Ren Xiaoying 任小颖 was born in Datong, Shanxi Province, Northern China.

Graduated from the Shanxi University, he worked at the Datong School of Fine Arts.

He formed with Zhang Shengquan and three other artists, the WR group, for an art of

the avant-garde. Their first performance took place during the avant-garde exhibition
