Li Keran 李可染 was born on March 26, in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, in China.

He was appointed Associate Professor ( oil painting department ) at the new Central |

Academy of Fine Arts ( C.A.F.A. ), Beijing. |

After a three months journey in south of the Yangtze, he concentrated on landscape

painting.

He was appointed Director of the Chinese Painting Research Academy

He died on December 5, from a heart attack, in his appartment in Beijing. |
