Cai Dongdong 蔡东东 was born in Tianshui, Gansu Province, in China.

He was enrolled in the People's Army as a portrait photographer for soldiers.

He obtained his B.A. ( Bachelor In Arts ) from the Beijing Film Academy.
|
| |
|
| |
He opened a studio of photoraphy in Beijing.
|
| |
He gave a new approach to his stored photos, photos of archive, by using
|
| |
engraving, weaving, sculpture, rubbing or making a photography installation.
|

He won numerous prizes : |

|
Prize of the creation at Pingyao International Photography Festival.

He received first prize at the 3rd Terna Contemporary Art Award.
