Zhang Gong was born in Beijing, China.

He studied at the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing.

1993

He received his M.F.A from the Central Academy of Arts and Design.

He turned to the painted animation by hand and produced successively :

He returned to the painting with his series City: New York, et Beijing.

Professor at the Tsinghua University, Beijing ( information department ),

he lives in Beijing.
