Mao Tongqiang 毛同强 was born in Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia

autonom region China.

1980

He graduated from Ningxia University .

He entered for two years at the Academy of Fine Arts of Zhejiang..

( oil painting department )

In his large-scale installations, the artist denounces the consequences

of rapid urbanization in China through the vestiges of the past.

- 30000 hammers and sickles for Tools.

- A collection of archival documents for cScriptures - Leasehold  - Archives.

- 385  pieces of black granite and 230 sheets framed of a manuscript for I Have a Dream.

- Numerous black and white portraits for Theatrical Piece.  

His works are in private collections in Germany, China and Singapore.

He lives and works in Beijing and in Yinchuan  China.
