Liang Shaoji 梁绍基 was born in Shanghai, China.

His family is native from Zhongshan, Guangdong Province.

He studied at the China Academy of Arts, in Hangzhou.

Graduated, he worked as a designer in a linen factory. |

|
|

He joined the Varbanov Institute ( 1932-1989 ) of tapestry and he specialized him,

in the sculpture of soft materials, China Academy of Arts. |
| |

|

Interdisciplinary artist, he uses installation, sculpture, new media, textile,

| |
to create meditative works about nature and human existence.
|

His Nature series uses the silkworm as a medium at all stages of its life.

| |
He raises them and then incorporates them into his works by rotating them around objects.
