Lin Yan 林延 was born in a family of artists, in Beijing China. |

After studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, |

( oil painting department ), she began teaching. |
|
|
1985 |
She moved to France and joined for one year the Fine Art School of Paris E.N.S.B.A. |
|
1986 |
She continued her studies in United States and obtained her master's degree |
|
from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. |
|
|
1994 |
She turned to China. |
| Now, she lives and works in New York United States. | |
