1976

Zhao Yu  赵玉   was born in Beijing, China.

1991

She followed drawing and painting preparatory courses at the Central Academy,

of Fine Arts, then at the Beijing’s Institute of Costumes.

1998

She graduated from the Beijing’s Institute of International Relations, major in French

language and Literature.

2000

She moved to France to dedicate herself to the Art.

She studied the Visual Arts at the University of Bordeaux III, then at the University

of Paris VIII.

2007

She taught Chinese painting at the association : Paris-Ateliers.

She graduated from the Higher School of Translators and Interpreters in Paris.

2010

2012

She received her PH.D degree of Visual Arts from the University of Paris VIII.

Currently, she is a sessional lecturer at the University of Paris VIII, and a correspondent

for the magazine Leap and for the Chinese edition of The Art Newpaper.

Her studio is located in Saint-Denis, Ile-de-France.
