1980

Yang Yongliang 杨泳梁 was born on July 27 in Jiading, Shanghai, in China.

From an early age, he learnt calligraphy and traditional chinese painting.

1995

He joined the Shanghai Art and Design Academy in Shanghai.

1999

He studied at the China Academy of Art ( Visual Communication Department )

2004

He created his own studio.

He used the medium of photography and created a world of illusions.

2006

He taught at the Visual Art Institute, Fudan University in Shanghai.

He published numerous articles in magazines.

His book Grand Church was pulished as a teaching material.

His short films were often awarded :

2009

Silver Award at the Cannes Lions

Gold World Medal at the New York Festival

Discovery Prize at the meetings of Arles

He lives and works in Shanghai China.
