Xue Song 薛松 naît dans la province de l'Anhui, en Chine.

Il est diplômé de la Faculté des Arts de la scène de Shanghai Drama Academy. |

Il s'installe comme artiste à Shanghai |

|
1989
|
Son atelier brûle entièrement. L'inspiration lui vient de cet amas de cendres. |

|
Il décide de créer de nouvelles oeuvres à partir de ces papiers brûlés. |

|
| |
Dès lors il se consacre à la technique de ces collages : tracts, photographies, |
| |
magazines, reproductions d'art populaire, entrecoupés de couleurs vives, |
| |
de calligraphies, traduisant les contrastes entre la Chine traditionnelle et la Chine |
| |
moderne ou les cultures étrangères. |
| |
