Ma Kelu 马可鲁 was born on April 8 in Shanghai China. |
|
He grew up and attended school in Beijing |
|
|
1968 |
He started painting in High School. |
|
1972 |
He met Zhang Wei 張偉, and all the artists who, in opposition to the government |
|
were going to form the No Name* group. |
|
|
On his days off, he painted together in the open air. |
|
|
1974 |
He took part in the first clandestine exhibition of the group Art No Name,then in |
| the public exhibition from 07.07 1979 at Behai Beijing Park. | |
|
1980 |
He became a member of the Experimental Abstract Art group. |
|
1984 |
He resigned from his work to become an independent artist. |
|
|
He traveled to Sweden, Germany, United States. |
|
|
|
|
1989 |
On a scholarship, he studied art at Sunny Empire State College of the State |
|
University of New York. ( Art Department ) |
|
|
2006 |
Back in China, he opened his own studio and created abstract works with |
|
bright colors. |
