Zheng Guogu 郑国谷 was born into a family of artists, in Yangjiang, Guangdong
|

Province China.
|

1992
|
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou ( engraving department ).
|
| |
|
|
1994
|
Encouraged by the group Big Tail Elephant that regroups Lin Yilin, Chen Shaoxiong,
|
| |
Xu Tan, Liang Juhui,he presented his first performance : Planting Geese,
|
| |
a dozen geese with painted black head buried in a field, such as vegetables.
|
| |
|
| |
He turned to photography with My Teacher, a series of pictures about a meeting
|
| |
with a mentally handicapped man.
|
| |
|
|
2002
|
He founded the Yangjiang Group with Chen Zaiyan and Sun Qinglin.
|
| |
|
|
2003
|
Waterfall : first monumental sculpture of the group incorporating calligraphy
|
| |
with melted wax.
|
| |
|
| |
He experimented with other media such as painting, video and embroidery.
|
| |

2006
|
He was the winner of the Chinese Contemporary Art Awards.
