Ma Hui 马蕙 was born in Chengde, Hebei Province China.

During the Cultural Revolution, she was sent for rehabilitation

She studied at the Art College of Xi'an University;

|
|
1982/ 1987
|
Graduated, she set out to meet the ethnic minorities of Tibet.

|
|
|
|
She moved to Europe and settled in Amsterdam where she created her studio.
|
|
|
|
|

The Cobra Museum in the Neherlands, awarded her the Aemstelle Prize
|

for her ink-on-canvas installation entitled : Yellow River
|
| |
|
|
|
She lives and works in Amsterdam Netherlands.
