After studies of law, he move to Shanghai to devote him to Art. |

He studied classical chinese painting with Gu Linshi ( 1865 - 1930 )

and Wu Hufan ( 1894 - 1968 )
|
|
|
1947
|
He moved to New York and studied Western painting at Art Students' |
|
League. |
|
|
1954
|
He helped establish the first Chinese Art gallery in New York : Mi Chou Gallery.
|
|
|
|
He began to create the landscape style that would make him famous.
|
|
|
|
A fine connoisseur and great collector, he advised the Metropolitan Museum
|
|
on ancient Chinese paintings.
|
1998
|
He donated 25 paintings from its collection..
|
|
|
2003
|
C. C. Wang passed away, on July 3 in New York, at the age of 96.
